The Transition

Area 51

the rumble in my chest keeps me breathing

the shaking in my knees keeps me from kneeling

down at the feet of my enemy

Is it me or just an entity?

Embodying a memory

of when alien just meant ET

The Summer Transition

i am warm

like burnt yellow

not worn

just torn

between being tan

or reborn

as something of my own
