The Bridge

backwood

I hear the blues

when I see you.

even though,

I have never seen the Mississippi water,

I feel the heat and dew

Of your skin against mine

and a saxophone of moans

fill the air

note…

after note,

until our bodies crash together

into a sweet, sweet chorus.
